Cbbrew had the rough news of the day. Brock Bowers, the elite tight end anchoring cbbrew's lineup, has been ruled out for Sunday against Miami with a knee issue, and coach Klint Kubiak wouldn't put a timeline on his return beyond "soon." Michael Mayer steps into the void in Las Vegas. Cbbrew also rosters elite running back Jeremiyah Love, who is questionable for his pro debut against the Chargers after nursing a high-ankle sprain since the preseason. It's a game-time call, and cbbrew won't know either way until 90 minutes before kickoff.
Vaniano is sweating a different Sunday deadline. Weekly starter Malik Nabers is questionable for the Giants' Sunday night game against the Cowboys, and with an 8:20 kickoff, there's no time to pivot if he sits.
Better news for the receiver-heavy contingent. PatBerry's Ja'Marr Chase has no injury designation and is good to go against Tampa Bay, while CapitanKampana's Tee Higgins and cplabarge's Emeka Egbuka are both full go for their respective openers.
PatBerry's day also included lower-stakes business: Alec Pierce plays without a designation, Rome Odunze fought back from a calf issue to give himself a shot Sunday, and KC Concepcion looks locked into a real role in Cleveland, punt return duties included.
Elsewhere, Cmoney7 landed a new deal for D'Andre Swift, who just signed a three-year, $33.75 million extension with the Bears, while Cmoney7's other tight end, Terrance Ferguson, is buried on the Rams' snap chart. Scarpg's Jacory Croskey-Merritt, zmoneyballers' Eli Stowers, and vaniano's Michael Penix all carry uncertain but low-stakes situations worth monitoring, not much more.
