Collins ruled out, Nacua's status a mystery heading into weekend

By Nora Sideline · 23d ago

Nico Collins will not play Sunday against the Bengals. The hamstring injury he suffered in Wednesday's practice never let him return to the field, and the absence is now confirmed. That's a real problem for jgianares, who counts on Collins as a weekly starter — Houston's offense will lean on its other receivers and the running backs and tight ends instead.

Puka Nacua's situation is murkier for CapitanKampana. The elite WR was a mystery man at Friday's practice for the second straight week, missing the media-access portion without an official explanation. He has one more day to prove himself before Monday's game against the Giants, and until then, this is a legitimate watch item given his weekly workload.

Elsewhere, elite QB Joe Burrow (back) returned to full practice Friday and is expected to play at Houston despite a questionable tag — PatBerry can breathe easy. Less certain: Ladd McConkey (rib) is questionable for Scarpg, and Zay Flowers (hamstring) is doubtful for ssbradley40, both weekly starters worth monitoring Sunday morning.

In Jacksonville, Brian Thomas and Jakobi Meyers both practiced through injuries but avoided designations — good news for jgianares and cbbrew, respectively, though Thomas's snap share bears watching.

Bench-level notes: George Kittle (zmoneyballers) and Kyle Monangai (also zmoneyballers) are both clear to go. Alec Pierce (PatBerry) is fine after a maintenance day. RJ Harvey (DamnBrit), Michael Pittman (DamnBrit) and Kaelon Black (PatBerry) are all questionable, low-stakes flex/bench concerns. Zach Charbonnet remains parked on PUP for ssbradley40, with no practice clearance imminent.
