CapitanKampana spent Saturday watching the injury report instead of enjoying the weekend. Puka Nacua sat out practice for a second straight day with hip and groin soreness and is questionable for Monday's game against the Giants. For an elite WR who anchors a lineup, that's the kind of news that ruins a Sunday scroll session, though it could still shake out as a game-time decision.
ssbradley40 doesn't have to wait and wonder. Zay Flowers has already been downgraded to out against the Saints, done in by the hamstring he tweaked in Week 1. As a weekly starter, his absence is a real hit, with Rashod Bateman and company left to soak up Baltimore's targets.
jgianares is dealing with a similar headache. Nico Collins is out for Houston's game with Cincinnati, and coaches haven't ruled out sitting him again in Week 3 at Indianapolis. Another weekly starter on the shelf, another lineup scramble.
Lower stakes elsewhere. DamnBrit's Michael Pittman is out at New England with a foot issue, but as bench depth, it's more shrug than crisis. CapitanKampana also lost De'Zhaun Stribling to IR after ankle surgery, sidelining him for roughly ten weeks — a non-event for a WR who was already buried on the depth chart. Cmoney7 got the same news about Omar Cooper, headed to IR with a sprained ankle after one series of NFL action, another bench name now off the board for over a month.
