Bowers nears return as Raiders roll without him

By Nora Sideline · 21d ago

Brock Bowers is close. Head coach Klint Kubiak said as much after Las Vegas beat the Chargers, and Bowers could be back for Week 3 in New Orleans. That's the headline news for cbbrew, who has been carrying an elite tight end who hasn't played a snap.

Dak Prescott had the best day of anyone in the league, throwing four touchdowns in a rout of the Commanders. Trotter0 will take it. George Pickens, part of that same Cowboys offense, played the complementary role with a modest catch total behind CeeDee Lamb — still a weekly starter for ssbradley40, just not the headliner. On the other side, Terry McLaurin led Washington in targets but couldn't convert, a quiet bench note for DamnBrit, especially with Jayden Daniels banged up.

ssbradley40 had a rougher afternoon at quarterback, too. Trevor Lawrence took a step back from his Week 1 form in a loss to Denver. Jaguars teammates fared better: Parker Washington paced Jacksonville's offense for Cmoney7, and Bhayshul Tuten punched in his first touchdown of the year for jgianares.

Cleveland's win over Tampa Bay produced mixed bench news. KC Concepcion caught everything thrown his way for PatBerry but barely moved the ball. Chris Godwin's workload for DamnBrit continues to look thin, and Kenny Gainwell remains buried behind Bucky Irving for jgianares.

Elsewhere: Deebo Samuel and Quentin Johnston stayed quiet for Cmoney7, MarShawn Lloyd scored but lost a fumble and his role for DamnBrit, Jordan Addison got on the board finally for vaniano, and Alec Pierce left with a heel scare for PatBerry — X-rays came back clean.
