Giants' Monday night doubles as an injury report

By Nora Sideline · 20d ago

The Giants gave two league managers a rough Monday. Jaxson Dart, Cmoney7's weekly starting QB, left with a knee injury after getting hit while throwing in the first quarter. He was ruled out for the rest of the game, with Jameis Winston finishing up. Cmoney7 will want clarity on the knee before locking in a Week 3 plan.

Malik Nabers, vaniano's weekly WR starter, had his own adventure — shoulder injury at the end of the first quarter, questionable to return, then he actually did return in the second quarter. Then he left again with a separate arm injury. Vaniano got the good version of Monday, at least on the other side of the ball: Davante Adams stepped into the No. 1 WR role with Puka Nacua inactive and cashed in as the clear top target.

Speaking of Nacua, CapitanKampana's elite WR sat out entirely with a hip issue, officially trending the wrong way all weekend. He's aiming to be back this week. CapitanKampana also has a small bright spot at TE, where Oronde Gadsden is now the Chargers' only healthy tight end and could see more work.

Elsewhere: Alec Pierce (PatBerry) is banged up with a heel injury that could linger into midseason. Dallas Goedert (ssbradley40) is out weeks with a sprained MCL, which nudges more work toward Makai Lemon (DamnBrit). Kenyon Sadiq (jgianares) could see a bump if Jets TE Mason Taylor sits. Jayden Reed (cbbrew) was carted off with a back injury and is doubtful for Thursday. Caleb Douglas (zmoneyballers) left with an ankle issue, severity unclear. Fernando Mendoza (cbbrew) and Ty Simpson (zmoneyballers) remain firmly stapled to their benches.
