The waiver wire's biggest story this week wasn't a blockbuster. It was Adonai Mitchell, the Jets bench wide receiver everybody suddenly wanted. Cbbrew grabbed him. So did ssbradley40, PatBerry and Scarpg. Charles even added him twice, which tracks for a manager publicly tanking while somehow still shopping the wire like he means it.
The move that ages worst belongs to Trotter0. He shipped out Mark Andrews, a flex-worthy tight end, for Joshua Palmer, pure depth. Given Thomas's season-long streak of bad luck, watching a real tight end walk out the door for a name off the wire fits the pattern a little too well. He also swapped Juwan Johnson for Rashod Bateman, a lateral move at best.
PatBerry stayed busiest, cycling through Tank Bigsby, Terrance Ferguson, Emanuel Wilson, Bryce Young and Tyler Shough while dropping Jayden Daniels and Quentin Johnston. No trades yet this year, so apparently this is how he scratches the itch.
Meanwhile ssbradley40 downgraded a standalone tight end in Brenton Strange for the Panthers defense — a move that writes its own self-deprecating joke.
