Williams out for Monday night, Eagles injuries ripple through three rosters

By Nora Sideline · 15d ago

Caleb Williams will not play Monday against the Eagles. The hamstring that kept him out of practice all week costs cplabarge a weekly starter, with Tyson Bagent in line to start unless his concussion protocol status changes things. Williams is targeting a return in Week 4 against the Jets.

Good news on the other side of that matchup: DeVonta Smith practiced fully and carries no injury designation into Monday's game. Trotter0's top receiver is clear to play as the Eagles' primary target.

Less fortunate is Dallas Goedert, who has been ruled out with a knee injury and will miss the game entirely. Cmoney7 loses a bench tight end for at least this week, with Zach Ertz likely to be activated in his place.

Cmoney7's week isn't done there. Zay Flowers is questionable and reportedly may play on a pitch count if he suits up at all, with his availability not finalized until inactives are announced. A weekly starter turning into a game-time gamble is not the news Cmoney7 wanted twice in one cycle.

Elsewhere, two bench pieces landed on injured reserve. Jonah Coleman (ankle) is done until at least Week 7, a modest blow for PatBerry's depth. Alec Pierce (heel) also heads to IR for connorolson, though X-rays came back clean.
