Cardinals hand the backfield to their rookie, Cowboys keep losing anyway

The clearest news of the week belongs to PatBerry. Jeremiyah Love turned in a career day and buried any question about the Cardinals' backfield pecking order, outworking Tyler Allgeier by a wide margin and scoring his first receiving touchdown. For a weekly starter, that's about as good as confirmation gets.

The Cardinals-49ers shootout touched half the league. Trey McBride kept doing exactly what elite tight ends are supposed to do for ssbradley40, working as Jacoby Brissett's security blanket again. George Kittle looked fully back from his Achilles tear, scoring twice for Cmoney7. Brock Purdy had his best day of the season for vaniano, spreading touchdowns to four different receivers. Michael Wilson remains the Cardinals' top option ahead of Marvin Harrison, good news for CapitanKampana and a mild worry for DamnBrit, whose Harrison is still searching for a real role. Deebo Samuel scored on a gadget play for cplabarge and could see more volume if Mike Evans' rib injury lingers.

Dallas lost again, but its skill players didn't. CeeDee Lamb stayed steady for cbbrew, George Pickens set season highs for CapitanKampana, Dak Prescott turned in another clean game for ssbradley40, and Javonte Williams scored for vaniano, even if his per-carry numbers keep sliding.

Elsewhere, Jakobi Meyers found the end zone again for connorolson, a nice bench bonus. RJ Harvey briefly left with a concussion scare before being cleared, no lasting damage for cplabarge. Emeka Egbuka posted a solid line for the same manager, but Baker Mayfield's thumb injury is worth watching.
