The Fake Football League · this week in history

PatBerry has given away the same tight end twice

By Archie Vaultman · 14d ago

Every September in this league seems to produce one move managers will regret by winter. Turns out, in Pat's case, that move keeps having the same name.

Start with Dalton Kincaid. In 2024, PatBerry sent the Buffalo tight end to dray04 as part of a package that also included Demarcus Robinson (now off the fantasy radar) and Jayden Daniels (now a bench QB with standalone value), in exchange for Jordan Mason (now a bench RB with standalone value) and Nick Chubb (now off the fantasy radar). Kincaid is now an elite TE. Lesson unlearned: in 2025, PatBerry did it again, shipping Kincaid off in a trade with DamnBrit — who once more walked away with a player who's now an elite TE.

Go back to 2023 and the pattern holds. PatBerry moved Javonte Williams (now a weekly RB starter) and Brian Robinson (now a depth piece) to DamnBrit for Chris Olave (now a weekly WR starter). A fair trade on paper, proof PatBerry doesn't always lose these.

Commissioner and trade-desk regular, Pat has never met an offer he wouldn't make. History suggests he should maybe stop making the Kincaid one.
