Daniels' elbow and Dowdle's toe cloud an otherwise quiet week

Jayden Daniels remains the story for Scarpg. The quarterback is making the trip to London with Washington and will practice in some capacity, but the dislocated elbow that has now popped out three times in under a year isn't fully behaved. Surgery could come after the season. For now Marcus Mariota, who played well in relief, may again get the call against the Colts. This is the single biggest swing factor in the league this week for a manager relying on Daniels as a weekly starter.

DamnBrit has more to track than most. Rico Dowdle has been a non-participant in practice all week with a toe injury and looks unlikely to suit up Thursday against Cleveland, which would hand Jaylen Warren another heavy workload. Jaylen Waddle drew a scare after being seen in a walking boot, but reports indicate he's fine — worth a glance at the practice report before locking him in. Makai Lemon continues to look like a bit piece in Philadelphia's passing game despite an injury opening snaps elsewhere, and Chris Godwin's role in Tampa Bay is shrinking further with a new quarterback now under center.

Elsewhere, it's mostly background noise. Fernando Mendoza stays glued to Las Vegas' bench behind a red-hot Kirk Cousins, useless to cbbrew for now. Chris Bell got a bump in touches for PatBerry after injuries thinned Miami's receiver room, while running mate Kaelon Black saw his snaps evaporate as San Francisco leans on Christian McCaffrey. Antonio Williams, Dontayvion Wicks, Khalil Shakir, Emmett Johnson and Oronde Gadsden all logged unremarkable lines — bench stash material, nothing more.
