Giants' Nabers and Skattebo both trending toward Week 1

The Giants dominate today's news, and for once that's good news for two different managers. Malik Nabers (vaniano's starting WR) is progressing well after knee surgery and a follow-up cleanup procedure, with head coach Brian Harbaugh saying he's "not far behind" Skattebo in recovery timeline. That's worth watching but still comes with PUP-list caveats.

Cam Skattebo (CapitanKampana's starting RB) is further along, already doing limited 11-on-11 work at minicamp after ankle surgery. If he's healthy for camp, he projects as the lead back in a crowded New York backfield. Good news for a manager counting on him as a weekly starter.

Elsewhere, Jonathan Taylor (Scarpg) remains the workhorse the Colts can't scale back, despite their own coaches wanting to lighten his league-leading workload. Scarpg should keep starting him and not worry about phantom timeshare fears just yet.

Scarpg also got an injury history lesson on Baker Mayfield, who revealed he played through several ailments last season. Old news dressed up as new, but a healthy 2026 Mayfield would be a boost for a flex-caliber QB.

Brock Bowers (cbbrew) enters the season fully healthy with a new QB and coaching staff reportedly excited about him. That's a clean plus for an elite TE.

Finally, two bench QBs generated minor competition buzz: Shedeur Sanders (Cmoney7) is still battling for the Browns' job, and Tua Tagovailoa (Trotter0) has an early edge in Atlanta. Neither changes much for now.
