Sam LaPorta is on track for a full camp workload, according to multiple reports out of Detroit. LaPorta had been kept to limited work during OTAs and minicamp as he recovered from offseason back surgery for a herniated disc, an injury that cost him time last season, but he's now fully cleared and expected to practice without restriction once camp opens. For Cmoney7, that's a real sigh of relief, since LaPorta is the clear top receiving tight end in Detroit's offense. The one thing to watch: new offensive coordinator Drew Petzing's history of heavy multiple-tight end usage in Arizona, plus a crowded target mix that includes Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa and Jahmyr Gibbs. LaPorta remains a weekly starter for Cmoney7, but not a hands-off one.
Elsewhere, jgianares can relax about Nico Collins. His reduced offseason workload was reportedly just load management, not an injury issue, and he's still ticketed as Houston's unquestioned No. 1 receiver heading into camp. Nothing here changes his weekly-starter status.
Finally, Bo Nix looks on schedule for PatBerry. The Broncos quarterback was limited to individual and 7-on-7 work this spring while rehabbing ankle surgery, but he's expected to be full-go when Denver's veterans report to camp on July 28. A mild worry has quietly resolved itself into a non-event.
