The week’s biggest scare belongs to CapitanKampana. Puka Nacua left practice with a groin injury that’s being called minor and could keep him out a few days, with the preseason opener already looking like a scratch. For an elite WR anchoring a lineup, even a short absence is worth watching, though nothing here suggests a long-term issue.
CapitanKampana also has CeeDee Lamb, who says he and Dak Prescott are clicking in camp and has stayed healthy all offseason — a quiet plus after last year’s injury-shortened season. J.K. Dobbins, a bench piece for the same manager, is dealing with a soft-tissue issue but has kept practicing, so it’s a shrug for now.
In Carolina, the backfield remains muddled. Chuba Hubbard (vaniano) is still expected to lead early, but Jonathon Brooks (DamnBrit) is healthy and getting real preseason run, meaning neither flex-worthy back has a clear path to volume yet.
Malik Nabers (vaniano) keeps inching back from his knee injury, working into team drills and trending toward a Week 1 return — encouraging, not certain. Tetairoa McMillan (zmoneyballers) is turning heads in camp, looking sharper off the line. His teammate in fantasy, Rashee Rice, avoided discipline and remains on track for Week 1 despite limited camp reps.
Emeka Egbuka (cplabarge) picked up a minor toe injury and will sit out preseason action, worth a glance but not panic. Bo Nix (PatBerry) is simply being held out of the opener as part of Denver’s plan. Shedeur Sanders (Cmoney7), C.J. Stroud (jgianares), and Tua Tagovailoa (Trotter0) all had uneventful QB depth-chart notes — nothing that moves the needle yet.
