August 2025 gave us a tidy lesson in add/drop archaeology, and the results are already in.
Start with cbbrew's Charles, who added Isaiah Likely and dropped Tyler Bass in the same month. Likely is now a flex-worthy TE. Bass is off the fantasy radar. For a manager who insists he's tanking on purpose, that's a suspiciously good August.
Connor's cplabarge did the opposite trick. He added Trey Benson, who's now off the radar, and dropped Luther Burden, who's now a weekly WR starter. Connor built a whole redraft team-name legacy around getting robbed by the football gods; add this to the file.
Cmoney7's Cole split the difference — Isaac TeSlaa went nowhere, but Romeo Doubs turned into a bench WR with standalone value. Even in a down year, the old three-time champ found one that stuck.
Hannah's DamnBrit dropped Jonnu Smith (off the radar, good call) but replaced him with Amari Cooper, who's also off the radar now. A wash, charitably.
Meanwhile Trotter0 added Marvin Mims and Scarpg added kicker Daniel Carlson, and both moves have aged into the same category: nobody remembers them, including, probably, Thomas and Ryan.
The pattern, as always: hindsight is cheap in September, priceless in August.
