The Fake Football League has no shortage of grudges — cbbrew holds a 7-5 edge on connorolson, jhen has thumped PatBerry eight times in eleven tries — but none of them come with the emotional whiplash of CapitanKampana versus PatBerry.
Eleven meetings. PatBerry is up 7-4. That's the whole ledger, dry as it sounds, but the games themselves have not been dry.
The low point for CapitanKampana came in 2022, week 12: PatBerry 135.80, CapitanKampana 74.30. A 61-point margin is the kind of number that ends conversations, and this one apparently did — Will still talks about his waiver-wire genius and his championship pedigree, but he does not talk much about that week.
The rivalry's finest hour came two years earlier. Week 16, 2020: PatBerry survived 150.58-146.62, a margin thin enough that either man could point to a single lineup decision and say that was the game.
It fits the pattern everyone in the league already knows. Pat wins the moments that matter and racks up trophies while everyone grumbles about it. CapitanKampana, for his part, keeps building rosters off the waiver wire and keeps running into the same commissioner on the schedule — a relationship the league has learned to describe as complicated, loud, and, at 4-7, still very much Pat's to lose.
