Kraft, Hall clear their injury hurdles as Bears' wounded list grows

By Nora Sideline · 1mo ago

Tucker Kraft looked like his old self at Packers practice, moving freely as he works back from last November's torn ACL. Good news for CapitanKampana, who has a weekly starter trending toward a clean Week 1.

Breece Hall is also on track for the opener despite his groin injury, per the Jets. vaniano can breathe easy, though Braelon Allen's strong camp is worth monitoring for touches down the line. vaniano also holds Jonah Coleman, who profiles as Denver's between-the-tackles complement to J.K. Dobbins — a modest stash with standalone value.

Chicago's backfield and receiver room both took hits. D'Andre Swift left practice with an abdominal issue described as a cramp, putting Cmoney7's flex option on the injury report alongside Kyle Monangai. Rome Odunze also exited with a leg injury, though early word suggests PatBerry's flex piece avoids anything serious. PatBerry's other Bear, Colston Loveland, remains locked in as a starting tight end on the depth chart — no real news, just confirmation of what everyone expected from the elite-tier tight end.

Elsewhere: Brenton Strange is Jacksonville's projected Week 1 starter at tight end, a solid bench stash for Scarpg. Parker Washington resurfaced at practice after missing time, easing concern for Cmoney7. Bryce Young gets a new play-caller in Carolina, low stakes for cbbrew. Geno Smith was named a Jets captain — nice for the résumé, irrelevant for Trotter0's lineup.
