September has quietly been the league's trading season, and the Travis Kelce file proves it. In 2023, ssbradley40 shipped Kelce to CapitanKampana, who gave up DK Metcalf, AJ Dillon and Jerome Ford to get him. Two years later, in 2025, Kelce moved again — this time from CapitanKampana to DamnBrit. Every stop on that trail, Kelce is logged as a bench TE with standalone value. Nobody won that trade. Nobody lost it either. That's the Kelce experience.
The bigger swing in 2025 was the three-team fallout involving CapitanKampana and cbbrew, who parted with Kyler Murray and Kyle Pitts. Both now grade out as legitimate weekly assets — a flex QB and a starting TE — which is a rare September double for Will's side of the ledger, a manager who otherwise treats draft picks as clutter and prefers finding value on waivers.
Not every September deal aged so well. PatBerry and Scarpg swapped Alvin Kamara for Baker Mayfield in 2025; both are now filed as roster fillers rather than difference-makers. And in 2024, vaniano acquired Andy Dalton from PatBerry, a trade that reads about how you'd expect given Dalton is now off the radar entirely — though in Pat's defense, he did apparently think it mattered enough to bid real FAAB on Dalton at some point.
Moral of the September archive: trade Kelce, trade Pitts, just don't be the one holding Dalton when the music stops.
