A.J. Brown is headed for a multi-week absence. The Patriots wideout suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Seahawks and is expected to miss around four games, with a stint on injured reserve in play. That's a real problem for ssbradley40, who was counting on Brown as a weekly starter.
Brock Bowers isn't far behind on the worry list. The Raiders tight end underwent a meniscus trim and sat out practice again Thursday. Coach Klint Kubiak hasn't ruled him out for the opener, but the expectation is he misses Week 1 and possibly more. DamnBrit, who has Bowers as an elite TE, should have a contingency plan ready.
DamnBrit also gets a smaller headache in Rome Odunze, who was limited again with a calf issue and remains uncertain for Sunday — a flex-caliber concern, not a crisis.
PatBerry's Jeremiyah Love continues to trend the right way, logging back-to-back limited practices as he works back from his high-ankle sprain. Still not full clearance, but a good starter feeling healthier before Week 1.
Scarpg has two names in the mix. Malik Nabers practiced fully again but hasn't committed to playing Sunday as he manages his ACL recovery — a tense wait for a weekly starter. Jacory Croskey-Merritt's limited practice is a much smaller footnote given his bench role.
Good news arrived for Cmoney7 and Trotter0: Zay Flowers and Ashton Jeanty both looked full-go in practice, clearing the way for normal workloads.
cbbrew got the biggest sigh of relief, with Patrick Mahomes practicing fully and set for his return from knee surgery. Jonathon Brooks (limited) and Rashid Shaheed (steady but unspectacular) round out cbbrew's low-stakes bench notes.
connorolson's Jakobi Meyers and Alec Pierce were both limited but trending toward availability — nothing to lose sleep over yet.
